Choosing the correct chisel
Chisel
For sedimentary (e.g. sandstone) and weak metamorphic rock into which the tool penetrates Concrete, Trenching & Benching.
Moil Point
Used for hard rocks or reinforced concrete, Generally suitable for splitting, May slip during hammering; therefore point must be stabilized.
Blunt
This tool is used for breaking large rock pieces in quarries also for crushing slag and ground compression.
